On the occasion of World Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Myositis and Psoriasis Day, an important event aimed at supporting patients and raising awareness of these diseases will take place on the premises of Spojka Karlín in Prague on October 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Event program:
- Consultation with specialists: Visitors will have the opportunity to consult their health problems with rheumatologists, osteologists, dermatologists, pulmonologists, physiotherapists, ergotherapists and orthopedists free of charge. Consultations will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Disease testing: Participants can have their risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases evaluated. There will be a FRAX questionnaire to assess the risk of fractures due to osteoporosis and a spirometer measurement to determine the condition of the lungs.
- Accompanying events: The program will include a photo exhibition of the Myositis patient group, the launch of the first comic book for young patients with rheumatism and the premiere of educational videos. A gift from NOTINO and ARTRI bracelets is prepared for the first 50 participants.
Objective of the event:
The main goal of the event is to raise awareness about rheumatic diseases and provide patients and their families with the necessary information and support. The organizers believe that early diagnosis and proper care can significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
Reservations and other information: If you are not from Prague or the surrounding area, you can now book an appointment with a rheumatologist. Half of all rheumatologists' time is reserved for walk-in patients without a reservation, so come even without an appointment. Other specialists are available without prior booking.
