On the 29th – 30th of June 2023, the Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) by Lerdsin Hospital partnered with Thai Osteoporosis Foundation (TOPF), Fragility Fracture Network (FFN), and Amgen Thailand to host this year’s Refracture Prevention Program: Thailand FLS Forum & Workshop 2023 at Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The welcome ceremony was chaired by Dr. Nutthapong Wongwiwat, Deputy Director-General, Department of Medical Services, MoPH, Prof.Maj.Gen.Dr. Thawee Songpatanasilp, former president and senior consultant of TOPF and Pol.Col.Dr. Tanawat Amphansap (Vice President FFN Thailand). Welcoming nearly 180 attendees, the Forum brought together a wide range of multi-disciplinary stakeholders, from physicians to nurses and physiotherapists, to receive the training and to strengthen refracture prevention in Thailand.
The main objectives of the program were to respond to national healthcare policy, to raise awareness of fracture prevention, and to educate the participants on establishing a sustainable FLS.
