The students from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman's Medical and Health Sciences Society will be organising a 2023 World Osteoporosis Day online awareness campaign from 5th-20th of October 2023.
The main objective is to disseminate awareness on osteoporosis among the young generation so they can build better bones, as well as empowering them to further share it among their friends, family and relatives, who may be at risk of osteoporosis. The activities consist of:
1. Promotional videos of "Introduction to Osteoporosis" and "How to Prevent Osteoporosis"
2. A "wear white challenge" where participants are encouraged to post photos of them wearing white and shout out "Build better bones". The 10 most creative photos will be awarded prizes. Participants are encouraged to include their friends, family or relatives in order to share this awareness.
3. A "video challenge" where participants are encouraged to make a video of either "Bony Boogie" (Bone strengthening exercises) or "Bone-Appetit" (Bone strengthening diet). The 10 most creative photos will be awarded prizes.
