On October 22nd, the Mongolian Naran Society of Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Health held World Osteoporosis Day activities in cooperation with the First Central Hospital of Mongolia, the Department of Health Research, Graduate School, MNUMS, the School of Public Health, MNUMS. The organizers were grateful to the sponsors of the event, Suu JSC (which donated gift bags of milk and dairy products) and Denk Pharma LLC, Mongolia.
In the second part of the event, the Mongolian Naran Society for Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Health, the First Central Hospital of Mongolia and Graduate School, MNUMS evaluated the knowledge and risk factors of 380 ambulatory clients about osteoporosis. The International Osteoporosis Foundation's osteoporosis risk assessment and health improvement recommendations were translated from English to Mongolian and questionnaires were collected from outpatient clients.
Also, at-risk ambulatory clients were offered diagnostic testing and bone-healthy milk and dairy products were distributed.
