FLS Café – OsteoAcademy Special Session

The Osteoacademy was a scientific event with about 270 participating physicians working in the field of osteoporosis.

The introduction was made by the President of the Turkish Osteoporosis Society, Prof. Dr. Şansın Tüzün, pointing out WOD activities.

A presentation by Prof Dr Ülkü Akarırmak, IOF representative member on ‘The Importance of Fracture Liaison Services in the Frame of the WOD 2025’ was made.

As part of the World Osteoporosis Day activities, the in-person FLS Café was held under the OsteoAcademy umbrella, bringing together representatives from various FLS centers across Türkiye. The FLS Café was moderated by the 5 mentors of Turkey. Prof Dr Şansın Tüzün, Prof Dr Ülkü Akarırmak, Prof Dr Yeşim G Kutsal, Prof Dr Yeşim Kirazlı, Prof Dr Dilşad Sindel. Participants shared their real-world experiences and challenges encountered during th digitalization process through the FracTurk platform.

The interactive session, moderated by five mentors, fostered open discussion on practical barriers, data integration, and local adaptation strategies to enhance post-fracture care nationwide.
