The event for WORLD OSTEOPOROSIS DAY took place on 20th October at the National Rehabilitation Center EKA (Ethniko Kentro Apokatastasis) in Athens, Greece organized by the 2nd Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department.
As a member of the Board of Directors of HELIOST - Hellenic Osteoporosis Foundation, I had the privilege to present the topic of Diagnosis, Prevention & Treatment of Osteoporosis. Ms. Hara Kotsiopoulou followed with a topic related to Nutrition for strong bones and then Ms. Panagiota Milioni analyzed Exercise in Osteoporosis (with a demonstration of exercises). The informative video of Hellenic Society for the study of Bone Metabolism was shown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGqdR1QXimY and then a discussion followed with the attendees who also asked questions to the speakers.
